About Gioi
Gioi (pronounced 'Joy') studied Acting and Music at Rose Bruford College of Speech & Drama in London on an International Scholarship.
With over 30 years private studio teaching experience, and over 20 years as a freelance professional singer and musician, she delivers informed and inspired instruction to aspiring professionals and amateurs committed to reaching their potential.

Absolutely outstanding vocal training! Gioi's musical theatre singing students succeed in exams, auditions and shows through inspired singing lessons that encompass acting as well as exploring a wide spectrum of vocal styles and developing a healthy technique.
Regular performance opportunities and Acting For Singers workshops. New students always welcome to apply, beginner to professional level, aged 9+, exceptional younger students may be considered.
After her studies in London https://www.bruford.ac.uk/, Gioi moved to Perth and taught acting at Barking Gecko Theatre Company to all ages, knowledge she incorporates into teaching Musical Theatre Singing. Also a proficient pianist she plays for her students while coaching them. Many of her singing students have majored in voice at WAPPA, UWA and other performing arts colleges.

A member of ANATS https://www.anats.org.au/ and past member of NATS https://www.nats.org/. Attends regular national and international webinars, conferences and masterclasses. In 2023 she completed Level I & II of Somatic Voicework TM The LoVetri Method, Soul Ingredients Methodology (The LoVetri Institute/Dr Trineice Robinson) When Science Meets Soul, plus ANATS webinars.
In 2025 Gioi attended the online ANATS Conference, VSC Belting Courses and Teaching Acting for Singing Teachers (an 8-week accredited course), six Cheryl Porter Singing courses and various other webinars.
Along with several years singing in professional choral ensembles and solo classical recitals, Gioi has worked extensively as a choral accompanist and vocal coach. Piano Lessons
Gioi enjoys teaching talented students committed to a daily practice routine appropriate to the level being studied. She welcomes new students intent on developing their musical potential by exploring a wide range of musical styles.

An experienced piano accompanist, Gioi has explored a wide variety of music. She achieved her AMEB Associate Diploma in Classical Piano, and continues to play much advanced classical and contemporary music.

Violin and Viola
No longer teaching strings. Gioi worked as a freelance classical violist and violinist for over a decade. Playing in string quartets for weddings and corporate functions, but with a wide range of orchestral and chamber music experience.
She has an Advanced Level Ensemble Certificate with Distinction from ABRSM playing viola in Eu4ria! String Quartet. Gioi worked on diploma level repertoire for both violin and viola for many years. Now developing improvisational skills.
Well researched in good string playing techniques and she was Head of Strings and Singing at Kingsway Christian College for several years. Gioi taught violin and viola for 30-years.
